4. Physical properties:
White solid, tasteless, odourless.Presence of stereotypes and crystallization type two forms.Can be divided into the orthorhombic system and the crystal type of hexagonal system, show columnar or lozenge.Relative density 2.71.825 ~ 896.6 ºC decomposition, at about 825 ºC is decomposed into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide.Melting point 1339 ºC, melting point is 1289 ºC under 10.7 MPa.Poorly soluble in water and alcohol.Soluble in dilute acid, emit carbon dioxide at the same time, the exothermic reaction.Soluble in ammonium chloride solution, too.Almost insoluble in water.Aragonite, relative density 2.83, melting point 825 ºC (decomposition).
